5 Easy Ways to Recover from Failure

Permission to excelLife is great when everything is going our way and we feel good about doing things well. From time to time, however, we do make the wrong choices. Sometimes we repetitively make the same mistakes again and again, causing us to fail and feel like we have character defects. There is no need to get caught up in personal drama or ego. It is possible to get out of a downward spiral.

These five tips will help you to easily overcome feelings of failure:

1. Help others

Get over yourself already! Life is not just about you! There are many people around you who are suffering and need your help. If you shift your focus from yourself to serving them, you will see an immediate improvement in your mood. Any kind of service will do, such as helping children with their homework, making a nice meal for someone, writing a blog post 😉 …

2. Go outside

Go for a walk in the country, go to the beach, or go for a hike in the mountains. Connecting to and appreciating nature will help you to see the perfection in everything, including yourself.

3. Exercise

Just getting off your seat and moving your body will give you the feeling of accomplishing something. When you are involved in a physical activity that gets your heart pumping, your body releases endorphins which make you feel even better.

4. Hug somebody

When you cuddle with a pet, hug your children or embrace loved ones, your body produces oxytocin, the love hormone. Within minutes you’ll feel happier and more accepting of everyone and everything in your life. You’ll realize who and what really matter.

5. Meditate or pray

Ask for a solution and guidance  from your inner guide or a higher power. Let go and trust that everything is going to work out for the best.

Next time you find yourself in rut, try these tips for immediate relief. Let me know how it goes!

With love,
